My name is Ana Pengra,

Update October 1, 2017:  I am the daughter of German Rivera, sister to Evelyne Ruiz Figeroua  and niece to Luz Maria Orta.  We are relieved to find out that they are ok.
I spoke to my sister briefly on the 28th and their spirits are high.  I was able to get a list of items that they are in desperate need of:

solar panel kits need 6
Slow burning candles
personal hygiene products
canned meat / dry milk
baby diapers for1 year old child
Batteries specially( AAA, AA, 9v and 6v)
two 2000 watt generators
portable water purification System

My daughter and I will personally travel in about 3 weeks or as soon as we are allowed to take a commercial flight to Puerto Rico.  We will hand deliver the much needed supplies to our family.   I will keep everyone posted on our progress and will post photos on Facebook.

I will run the campaign through Friday October 6th.
This will allow us two weeks to collect the supplies and prepare.

I want to sincerely  thank everyone for your generous donations.  Without yoursupport we could not have made this a reality.

I will ill continue to post updates in the weeks to come.

Thank you,  Ana Pengra

The Hurricane Maria, the fifth-strongest storm to ever hit the United States, roared through Puerto Rico last week, flattening the island. The 3.4 million Americans citizens who live there had homes destroyed, streets flooded, power grids decimated, widespread internet outages, and dams teetering on the brink of collapse, leaving Puerto Rico in shambles. The bulk of the island doesn’t have water to drink and can’t even call for help because only 25% of cellphone towers survived the storm.

We were relieved to find out on September 25th, that my family (German Rivera - my father from Santa Isabel and  Evelyne Ruiz Figueroa my sister and her family from Coamo) are  OK!

We still do not have word on my Aunt Luz Maria and Uncle Manuel Orta and my cousin Anita Orta, all from San Sabestian.

Because it is unclear as to how long the Island will remain without power and water,  I would like to raise enough money to help fund the purchase of 2 Generators and to also help them with the basic needs such as (Diesel;  gas; water; food; batteries).

Any amount you decide to donate will be very much appreciated and will make a huge difference in the lives of my family.

Your  gift will have a major impact on helping the Rivera , Ruiz Figueroa and Orta Families.

Thank you for your kind generosity and support.
