Below is the story of our friend, classmate and former East Brookfield resident David Thunberg. He intended this, not as a plea for assistance, but as a blast against Obamacare. Whether pro or con, it points out to his friends, the need to take care of our friend in any way we can.

The fundraising goal is irrelevant. If we raise $5000, we'll increae the goal to $10,000. Hit $10,000 the goal becomes $15,000. See, whether we raise $15 or $15,000 the true goal is to make sure that David knows we love him and care about him.

Not only will we not allow you to die, David, but we won't allow to wonder what your friends think of you in the unlikely event that you do.  So I encourage any friend who reads this to give what you can...$5, $10, $15, $100. Not the size of the gift but the thought.

We are currently putting together a group to create a benefit for David and to make sure that he doesn't go without. Without a roof over his head, food in his belly, the medical attention he needs, or any ungranted wish.

Love you David-Sincerely your friends and family from Spencer, East Brookfield, David Prouty High and around the globe.

From David:

As many of you know I am not a big Facebook poster, however I going to send out one last post....A few month back I was diagnosed with lymphoma stage 3......I have had the surgery and I am now going through chemo......

Oh what fun. Lions and tigers and bears , Oh my..........

Anyway, prognosis is not what I would have hoped for.
Yup it's terminal.......but I knew this before.....just wishful thinking on my part......

Anyway, the reason I'm putting this out there is simple.
Obamacare. I had really good health ins before Obama care.....once it took over I lost it. It took an act of congress to get my Medicare insurance in place. I was denied social security benefits.

After my surgery, Medicaid paid for three weeks of living expenses, big deal. I lost my job, my apartment and now I'm fighting for my chemo treatments. I'm living in my car with no hopes for a good outcome.

So I as, if you knew that your life was about to be cut short and you were granted three wishes before that day came what would your three choices be?

Here are my three:
1. Spend one last day with my puppy at the beach
2. Kiss my sister on the forehead and tell her how much I love her.
3. Group hug.... My brother Ricky, Gary and my Dad
4. Yes there is a forth.... Walk hand in hand down the beach one last time with my best friend...my mom.
