Foster Care Awareness Project
In honor of Foster Care Awareness Month coming up in May, we—a group of leaders, givers and paradigm shifters—invite you to take part in an epic project that is uplifting and empowering foster care children, to show them that they matter and that they are radiant, powerful beings capable of creating boundless possibilities.

We are a team of visionaries committed to creating a world that is loving, abundant and unified. Through our South Florida-based Masterful Living leadership training, we ML28FLL are honored to be curating a legacy project with a lasting impact in our community.
:: ABOUT OUR PROJECT ::
From April 28-29, we are organizing a mural and fun day at the Children’s Home Society, a nonprofit foster care center in Fort Lauderdale. Throughout this weekend, we get to bring the following to CHS:
o two murals with butterflies, which are universal metaphors for transformation.
o three benches to be painted, signed and planted in public spaces to promote foster care awareness.
o a fun day comprised of team-building exercises and field day activities.
o two days of arts/crafts
In addition, we’re committed to creating a legacy that lives on by providing ongoing volunteering support to empower CHS children and parents.
:: HOW TO SUPPORT ::
#1 Donate. We are declaring to raise $11,000, which covers paint, art supplies, field day food and materials, three benches and the Go Fund Me service fee. Additional contributions collected will be donated to CHS Loraine Thomas Home (which is experiencing state funding cuts).
#2 Volunteer. We are declaring to confirm at least 100 contributors to volunteer for our project. If you or someone you know lives in South Florida, you may volunteer to assist with the mural, fun day, arts/crafts or ongoing volunteering efforts at CHS. The butterfly effect begins with one kind act. You don’t need to live in Florida to make a difference and take part in this process. By contributing to this project, you get to create a) a ripple effect that inspires children to believe in themselves, b) love and unity through connection and c) abundance through your act of giving, which motivates foster care children, holds them high and opens limitless possibilities.
