Gavin Meyer Medical Bill Fund

Hello! My name is Gavin Meyer and I was born with Lissencephaly Miller Dieker Syndrome. I am a very special boy and my parents, sister and brothers' love me very much. For them to take care of me it takes a lot of love, time and money! My mommy and daddy work very hard to pay for the things I need but they could use some help. I was sick in October and spent almost 3 weeks in the pediatric ICU at Johns Hopkins. That was a terrible experience and my mom and dad were real sad. I am so relieved to be feeling better but my parents now have a 1000. dollar bill from my stay there that they have to pay out of pocket. Also my therapists at Kennedy Krieger ordered me a Bantem stander so that my legs will develop correctly. That will cost about another 1000. dollars as there is an insurance deductable to satisfy and a 15% of the total equipment fee to pay. In addition to those bills I have weekly co-pays and doctors visits every single week that cost an average of 40 to 60 dollars a week. I have yucky seizures that my mom and dad give me medicine for to keep them away as much as possible. I take albuterol nebulizers to control my wheezing. Because my brain is shaped differently, I have cerebal palsy and high tone (that means my muslces are stiff!) I take valium sometimes to help relax my muscles so I can be comfortable and have better therapy sessions. I constantly have a stuffy nose and chest congestion and it is really annoying! I frequently take antibiotics for that and it helps a little but my mommy rents a high tech suction machine (the nose sucker!) that really helps my nose stay clear. All my medicines and equipment rentals cost a lot of money too! Why does everything I need cost so much money? My parents call me the million dollar baby! Please help them to continue to take extra special good care of me by donating whatever you can toward my care.
