Time for solidarity! Let’s support the creative class and hardworking service industry folks of Fort Worth, who are getting hit hard by COVID-19 cancellations, quarantines and social distancing.
With all gigs getting canceled for the foreseeable future, livelihoods are at stake. Empty or closed bars, restaurants and venues mean little to no funds to pay for bills or other essentials. Please chip in what you can, share with your networks and support our artists and the heartbeat of our local industry.
All donations will be equitably divided and transferred among the fifty individuals who requested assistance via a Google form - $200 per applicant. Funds will be withdrawn by me, divided and transferred directly to applicants - who include musicians, visual artists, bartenders, servers, dancers, actors, event staff, sound technicians, local artisans - via their PayPal, Venmo or Cash App.
Who am I? My name is Rachel Gollay and I'm a local musician based in Fort Worth (Near Southside). I'm lucky to also have steady salaried employment, and wanted to do something now to facilitate mutual aid within the scene that has supported me in so many ways for over a decade. I will be donation matching as much as possible to help increase the overall pool of funds.
