Dear Community Supporter:
The 2nd grade Fort Collins Steelers flag football team respectfully requests a donation, of any size, from your organization. Your generous donation will be used to help send this team to the National Flag Football Grip It & Rip It tournament located in Hollywood, FL on January 13th & 14th 2018.
This team recently competed in the regional tournament at Folsom Field, home of the University of Colorado Buffaloes, to attempt to qualify for this once in a lifetime opportunity. This incredible group of talented seven and eight-year-old boys posted an undefeated record at the tournament, from a field of 13 invited teams, earning their official invitation to compete in the national tournament in Florida. Their successful performance also earned the team a tie for the overall number one national ranking of 2nd grade flag football players. They are now actively preparing to face the first-place finishers from across the country in three round robin games on Saturday, January 13th and then begin single elimination playoffs on Sunday, January 14th.
When you contribute, you help this special group of young men make their dreams of flag football notoriety a reality and give them an opportunity to proudly represent our northern Colorado community. Your investment in our youth also helps magnify the strong bond of community we all enjoy in northern Colorado, gives these young men further opportunity to learn valuable life lessons taught through the successes and failures of athletic competition and teamwork, and ultimately provides a return on your investment in the form of loyal customers and word of mouth advertising.
