Hello! My name is Amilcar Córdova and I'm reaching out to you to help a friend in need. Recently, the son of a very good friend of mine, Diana Font, was struck by a vehicle while riding his motorcycle on Veteran's Day. Steven David had several live threatening injuries and until recently, was in a medically-induced coma due to brain swelling and to help him heal from the emergency surgeries needed to save his life.
Steven was going to start a new job the following Monday after he was struck and was happy to finally be able to get medical benefits. Although Steven is doing somewhat better and is ready to go into rehab, he has already incurred medical expenses in the excess of $300,000 and has a long term rehab ahead of him, which will easily raise his those expenses to over $500,000.
At the time of the accident, Steven did not have any insurance coverage and therefore no way to pay his medical expenses or rehabilitation. His mother, Diana Font, is not only struggling witht the fact that her son may never recuparate completely, since he had extensive brain injuries and several surgeries to help repair all his broken bones and save his life, but is now also dealing with a long battle in front of her of caring for her son and sick mother.
We are counting on the help of friends and family to assist Diana and her son with the medical expenses. We are trying to raise at least $200,000, which although does not cover all his expenses, will help tremendously. Any amount you can donate will be greatly appreciated!
