If you are reading this I already have so much gratitude for you taking time out of your busy life to read about me. That being said, I'll get straight to the point. I am an orphan from Downtown Cleveland, Ohio and my dream is to go to The Los Angeles Film School in California. I am very close to reaching that goal, as I have received some financial aid to help cover tuition. However, federal aid can only help so much. After all is said and done I will still owe about ten thousand dollars and that is not including rent or living expenses. As of right now I have enough money to buy my plane ticket and pay my first months rent, but not much more.
I am currently 21 years old and have been living on my own since I was 18. When I was nine years old my mother told me she was sick and went to the hospital, that would be the last time I ever talked to her. She died about a week later, leaving just me and my father. My dad was a very good guy with a big heart that always put others before himself, sadly, he was a very bad alcoholic. One sunny day in the summer 2 years after my mother passed away, Dad asked me if I wanted to go with him to a Cleveland Indians baseball game. Being a kid who couldn't sit still for more than ten minutes, I declined the offer as I wanted to play outside on such a nice day. Halfway through the game he had a stroke and joined my mother in heaven.
Luckily for me I had a responsible brother who took me in. Overnight he had to turn from a brother into a father for me, which made our relationship less than pleasant. For ten years I lived with him getting bad grades and always being grounded. I passed high school by the skin on my teeth and have been living paycheck to paycheck ever since. This opportunity to go back to school doing something I love is one I have been longing for quite some time. I am very passionate about film making and everything that has to do with it. I am going to give it my all and take this more seriously than anything I have ever done. At the bottom of this page you can find my Youtube channel that has some old videos I made on there along with the website for LA Film School.
