Siempre supe que quería dedicarme al espacio, pero durante mucho tiempo no sabía desde dónde ni cómo. La arquitectura me dio las herramientas para entender cómo habitamos el mundo; la astronomía, la perspectiva para imaginar otros posibles. Hoy, ambas convergen en un proyecto con impacto real: TURTLE.

Con solo 16 años obtuve una beca para asistir al Space Camp en Huntsville, Alabama, donde viví una experiencia espectacular que no solo me confirmó que el espacio era mi lugar, sino que también me impulsó a seguir explorando el camino profesional que iniciaba entonces.

No soy ingeniera aeroespacial ni astronauta, estudié arquitectura con doble titulación entre Barcelona y Buenos Aires, con un toque italiano enfocado en la sostenibilidad durante mi Erasmus. Sin embargo, trabajo desde hace años para que el conocimiento espacial, y la conciencia de la importancia de la arquitectura espacial, esté al servicio de las personas, del entorno y de los grandes retos de nuestro tiempo. Creo en el espacio no como un destino lejano, sino como un marco inspirador desde el que repensar la Tierra: su sostenibilidad, sus territorios, su diversidad, sus futuros.

Este 2025, gracias al apoyo parcial de la Agencia Espacial Europea, tengo la oportunidad de participar en el Space Studies Program de la International Space University (ISU), que tendrá lugar este verano en Seúl. Ahora necesito tu ayuda para completar la financiación y dar el impulso definitivo a TURTLE.

¿Qué es TURTLE?

TURTLE es el proyecto que, en realidad ha estado siempre dentro de mí, esperando el momento adecuado para ver la luz. Se trata de una iniciativa de divulgación científica y cultural que utiliza el espacio como vehículo para inspirar, educar y transformar. Nació de la convergencia entre arquitectura espacial, astronomía, educación y creatividad, con la misión de acercar el conocimiento espacial a la sociedad, de forma accesible, emocional y significativa.

Desde talleres en colegios en colaboración con AulaSputnik, hasta observaciones astronómicas, experiencias de viaje y diseño de hábitats extraplanetarios, TURTLE es el paraguas bajo el que se generan experiencias que despiertan vocaciones científicas, abren horizontes culturales y conectan ciencia y ciudadanía.

Con un enfoque transdisciplinar, flexible y comprometido con la inclusión, su proyección va mucho más allá de la divulgación: quiere transformar la forma en la que miramos el mundo… y el cielo.

¿Por qué ISU y por qué ahora?

Conocía la International Space University (ISU) desde hace muchos años. Durante mi etapa profesional en Dinamarca, junto con SAGA Space Architects tuve la oportunidad de trabajar junto a personas formadas en su Space Studies Program, quienes me lo recomendaron encarecidamente, un verdadero punto de inflexión en sus trayectorias. Desde entonces me atrajo profundamente, pero siempre lo vi como un objetivo lejano, fuera de mi alcance económico.

La idea quedó aparcada… hasta que a finales del año pasado, mientras organizábamos —desde SG Spain— nuestro congreso anual sobre espacio, alguien me habló de la posibilidad de acceder a becas parciales para cursar el programa. Por primera vez, ese sueño que siempre había estado presente se acercó lo suficiente como para intentarlo.

Envié la solicitud sin grandes expectativas, convencida de que aún no estaba en posición de llegar tan lejos. Pero para mi sorpresa, recibí una carta de admisión… acompañada de una beca del 50% concedida por la Agencia Espacial Europea (ESA). Ese momento lo cambió todo: de ser una posibilidad remota pasó a convertirse en un reto real y cercano.

¿Qué es realmente el Space Studies Program?

El Space Studies Program de la International Space University (ISU), que este verano se celebrará en Seúl, Corea del Sur es un prestigioso programa internacional que reúne a profesionales de todo el mundo para formarse en torno al espacio desde una visión holística: ciencia, tecnología, sostenibilidad, derecho, política, salud, arte y sociedad.

Este paso marcará un punto de inflexión para TURTLE, permitiendo:

¿Cómo puedes ayudar?

La Agencia Espacial Europea (ESA) ya ha decidido apoyar este camino con una beca parcial, lo que supone un aval institucional muy importante. Sin embargo, aún necesito reunir 10000€ para cubrir el resto de los costes del curso (desplazamiento aparte).

Tu colaboración —desde España o cualquier parte del mundo— puede hacer posible que TURTLE dé el siguiente gran paso.

Y si representas a una entidad, colectivo o proyecto con interés en la educación espacial, la sostenibilidad, la divulgación científica o el desarrollo de propuestas culturales con enfoque innovador, estaré encantada de explorar posibles vías de colaboración futura dentro del marco de TURTLE. SPACE TRAINING WITH REAL IMPACT: ON THE WAY TO ISU 2025

I always knew I wanted to work in space, but for a long time, I didn’t know from where or how.

Architecture gave me the tools to understand how we inhabit the world; astronomy gave me the perspective to imagine other possibilities.

Today, both converge in a project with real impact: TURTLE.

At just 16 years old, I received a scholarship to attend Space Camp in Huntsville, Alabama, where I had an unforgettable experience that not only confirmed that space was my place, but also gave me the drive to pursue the professional path I was just beginning to explore.

I’m not an aerospace engineer or an astronaut. I studied architecture through a double degree between Barcelona and Buenos Aires, with an Italian Erasmus exchange focused on sustainability. Still, I’ve spent years working to ensure that space knowledge, and awareness of the importance of space architecture, can serve people, the environment, and the great challenges of our time.

I believe in space not as a distant destination, but as an inspiring framework from which to rethink Earth—its sustainability, its territories, its diversity, and its futures.

In 2025, thanks to partial support from the European Space Agency (ESA), I will participate in the Space Studies Program at the International Space University (ISU), taking place this summer in Seoul.

Now I need your help to complete the funding and give TURTLE the definitive boost it needs.

What is TURTLE?

TURTLE is the project that has, in truth, always been inside me—waiting for the right moment to come to light.

It’s a science and cultural outreach initiative that uses space as a vehicle to inspire, educate, and transform.

Born at the intersection of space architecture, astronomy, education, and creativity, its mission is to bring space knowledge closer to society in an accessible, emotional, and meaningful way.

From school workshops in collaboration with AulaSputnik, to astronomical observations, travel-based experiences, and the design of extraplanetary habitats, TURTLE creates experiences that awaken scientific vocations, broaden cultural horizons, and connect science and citizens.

With a transdisciplinary, flexible, and inclusive approach, the project goes far beyond science communication: it seeks to transform the way we look at the world… and the sky.

Why ISU, and why now?

I’ve known about the International Space University (ISU) for many years.

During my professional time in Denmark, working alongside SAGA Space Architects, I had the opportunity to collaborate with people who had taken part in its Space Studies Program. They spoke of it as a life-changing experience—a true turning point in their careers.

Since then, I was deeply drawn to it, but always saw it as a distant dream, financially out of reach.

The idea was shelved... until the end of last year, while organizing—through SG Spain—our annual national space congress, someone told me about the possibility of accessing partial scholarships for the program.

For the first time, that long-held dream felt close enough to try.

I submitted my application without much expectation. But to my surprise, I received a letter of admission—along with a 50% scholarship awarded by the European Space Agency (ESA).

That moment changed everything: what had seemed like a distant possibility became a tangible and thrilling challenge.

What is the Space Studies Program?

The Space Studies Program (SSP) at the International Space University (ISU)—which will take place this summer in Seoul, South Korea—is a prestigious international program that brings together professionals from around the world to learn about space from a truly holistic perspective: science, technology, sustainability, law, policy, health, art, and society.

This step will mark a major turning point for TURTLE, enabling me to:
