Forgotren Regulars Dementia Group

Hi, my name is Sharon. For the past 10 years I have been running a Group called The Forgotten Regulars Dementia Group. This group was started by me for my Mum Wee Annie who suffered with Dementia, sadly passing in August 2016. This Group is solely run for people and their families who suffer with Dementia/Alzheimers. I have funded this by fundraising in our local community. We provide a hotmeal and dessert, hot and cold drinks and a singer for entertainment on the day. We have taken the group out to Blackpool Ballroom Tower in previous years and are hoping to take them all out again this year, which could be 70 people. For us to be able to achieve this we are doing this crowdfunding. Our group is a place for everybody to come and enjoy. This group is a necessity for people to come and see friends and help them with social isolation, not just the Dementia/Alzheimers sufferers but also their families. It's a time to also make memories for their families. Something that can put a smile on their faces. Remembering happier times.
