Forest Hills Indie Launch

Hello, our name is Forest Hills. We are an independent rock band based out of New York City. For the last year, we have been making all our band merchandise (such as T-shirts) by hand, using stencils and fabric paint in order to keep production costs down; since we donate 50% of our handmade merch profits to charity.

While we will continue to hand-make merchandise because we love giving back & the handmade and personal touch, we also want to bring something new and next-level, both for fans that have been with us since day one, and for new fans that are just discovering our music. With that being said, we have designed 3 new shirt designs, that, if we are funded, will be getting made and sent out to all that have pledged for us, as well as having them available for sale at our shows and online. Being an independent band means we do everything ourselves, from recording music, to our website design, music videos, and much more. One of the greatest things about being an independent band is that we get to help others with no limitations, because we are in control of everything we do; and this KickStarter is no exception! Since these specific shirts will not be entirely handmade (as opposed to our typical handmade merchandise that we create by painting directly onto shirts) but rather are going to be professionally crafted through custom transfers, our production cost is more than it would be for our other merchandise, so we will be donating 35% of the profits to charity to start out with. As we continue selling merch, we'll be able to increase the donation amount to 50% , just like our handmade merchandise!

We want you to know that when you choose to invest in Forest Hills, you aren't just investing in a great rock band, but also investing into infinite great causes. We want you to be proud to listen to our music and own our merchandise - and not just because you love the music, but because you also love what we stand for! Some of the charitable organizations we support include (but are not limited to): Epilepsy Foundation, Black Lives Matter foundations, Breast Cancer Awareness, Alzheimers Research, LGTBQ+ Youth organizations, At-Risk Youth foundations, Anti-Bullying foundations, and many, many more!

Once we meet our goal, any digital merchandise will be available immediately, and all physical merchandise (such as t-shirts) will be available within two months.
