Fundraiser for Most Deserving Carla

Carla Kelley is an educator who believes that prejudice is born in ignorance, and equality is born in education. In 1999, Carla founded The Human Rights Education Center of Utah a nonprofit organization that addresses intolerance, bullying, exclusion, disrespect and violence through education.  She has never refused any request for educating youth and/or adults in human rights, empathy and bullying prevention education. Recently, Carla was offered an opportunity to fly free of charge to South Africa, and the ticket must be used by January 31, 2016. Carla never dreamed such an opportunity to further her education in human rights would be conceivable. If this dream becomes a reality Carla intends to visit important historical sights and to meet with human rights leaders and educators while she is there.  

Carla may not be able to take advantage of this opportunity unless funds are raised for her food and lodging. Unbeknownst to many, Carla works selflessly for very little monetary compensation, always insisting that funds available must go for continued programming.
