There are veterans out there not getting what they need and the VA certainly isn't helping them. They don't have much money so to pay for an out of pocket medical expense is almost impossible for most of them. They got angry but now that anger is beginning to turn to desperation. Just think about how many you know that have been in our military. Now ask yourself if this was someone you love what would you do watching them go through all of this, we are all responsible for taking care of them. They took care of us. Pass the message along, send it to as many people as you can. Let us not have another death because of this please.

I started this for those veterans out there that can't afford the out of pocket expense for the treatments through Kadima. Even if it's just an emergency treatment to help get them through. Whoever however I'm hoping to get a good response and for people to pass it on not just for fundraising but to spread awareness as well. These are the men and women who have guarded our backs as a country and when they most need us we're just going to turn away? Help 1 veteran make it through with joy in their hearts instead of fighting their own mind. My best friend, my sister is a veteran living in San Diego and we share a place. She's considered 100% disabled due to her mental illness. I've been there through it all, from no treatment to dozens of pills to even shock therapy. From the outside looking in. The struggle every day to hang on and just make it through 1 more day. The frustration the anger the self loathing when other people say mental illness isn't real. Then ketamine and Kadima came into the picture. The response was so fast, so positive it was wonderful. There she was again for the first time in so very long. We had a year of this. Normal, active regular person everything. Then she got a phone call from the VA. She was told she could no longer go to Kadima she was transferred over to the VA new program. It didn't go well and not just for her.
However she gave it an honest try. When it became apparent it wasn't working for her she was 1 of the patients moved to the IV program. Again still not working well.

It's hard to watch the deterioration of someone you love and know that you can't do anything. Let alone watch them to make sure they don't hurt themselves, which there's only so much you can do. We're hopeful, we might be able to afford to pay for a couple treatments from Kadima out of pocket a month if we seriously work our budget. However there are so many who can't even afford 1. That's who this is for. Hopefully the VA will do the right thing but in the meantime, well that's always the problem now isn't it. That's why we're here let's take care of them.
