For UWC-USA Travel Expenses

United World College (UWC) which is a global movement that makes education a force to unite people, nations, and cultures for peace and a sustainable future. UWC inspire young people to put their talents and energy into social change, no matter which future path they choose. UWC select promising, passionate students from all over the world, and give them the knowledge, skills, and confidence to make a difference. As of right now, UWC counts 18 colleges worldwide. UWC is represented in Burkina Faso by a group of alumni who forms the national committee. This year, Abiba is one of the five students selected to join the UWC Family.

Abida Guire is a very smart and hardworking young lady whose application emerged from the competitive first phase. Her grades demonstrate that she is a capable student but she is driven, and pleasant to have a conversation with. she is very involved in extracurricular activities and is a creative young lady. During the interview, she showed us that she is not afraid to measured risks. She is a born leader and creative thinker who has a fashion Facebook page showcasing Africa with about 7700 followers. Her dream is to become an engineer who can contribute to alleviating water shortages in urban areas. Unfortunately, her family is unable to cover the fees for my ticket.

We would like to seek financial support from any person of goodwill for this young lady with a bright future. Abida has to be at UWC-USA by August 20th if she does not want to miss the orientation.
