Who We Are
We're Pizzeria Stella's hourly staff of about 30 people - your servers, food runners, bartenders, bussers, hosts, prep/line cooks, dishwashers. Some of us have been with the restaurant since it opened 10 years ago and some of us joined within the past year but we're all part of the Stella family that serves you the best bolognese in the city and shares your heartbreak for the chopped salad.
What Happened
On Monday, March 16th, with the spread of the coronavirus, the city mandated that restaurants restrict operations to carry-out until March 27th. We were told that day we no longer had jobs and even with the limited carry-out that's operating at Stella, most of us are living with zero income for the foreseeable future and those who have access to it had to file for unemployment.
How You Can Help
We know this is one of the many ways the coronavirus has impacted our lives, schools, jobs, and communities and many people, unfortunately, are sharing this experience. We hope that for those who are able, you can contribute so we can have a bit of financial security in all of this uncertainty.
