FOR THE LOVE OF MY FRIEND
My friend Sabrina Teems Fife, recently tearfully confided in me that she needed help and didn’t know where to turn. Sabrina said she needed to purchase some medical equipment in order to continue receiving her home care services. Unable to afford it herself since she is on a fixed income, she had exhausted all avenues for funding via government, grants, MDA, etc..
Sabrina has been my dear friend of mine for over 14 years. She is an outgoing life loving person that is always there when you need her. She is my shoulder, and encourager when things go wrong, and my cheerleader when things go right. She lives a full and active life being with and going out with friends and family. Always there for me, it’s now my turn to help her.
Sabrina has always, and still has, a positive attitude even though she has a muscle disease, MD (muscular dystrophy). MD has made her wheelchair dependent. However, it has also made her dependent on home care personal (aids) to physically lift and transfer her from bed to chair, bath etc.,
Solution: A ceiling lift system.
The ceiling lift will run on tracks to and from her bedroom to her bathroom. The equipment will lift her in a sling attached to a motor that runs on a track mounted in the ceiling. And, most importantly, this lift system is easy enough to use that even friends and family will be able to assist her. $8500.00 will buy equipment and pay for its installation.
I am reaching out to all who love and care for her, friends, family, their friends and so on. My goal through “Go Fund Me” is to help her raise the $8500.00 to purchase this greatly needed medical equipment. Please help my friend, Sabrina, keep her home services and stay in her home with family, not the unwanted alternative of a nursing home. Every dollar helps. Please SHARE this on your page.
