For the Love of Hoskie

Hello there!  I am Kaylyn Hoskins, daughter of Jerry Hoskins aka ‘Hoskie’. On December 26, 2017 Dad was taken by ambulance to St. Lukes in CR for a COPD flare. Other problems surfaced while he was in the hospital and he received the devastating diagnosis of stage 4 colon cancer. He has started chemo and has had minimal side effects so far.

Dad has been successfully self-employed for the last 20 years, running Hoskie’s Aerial Services. Since he hasn’t been able to work, bills have been piling up. High insurance deductibles, medical expenses and travel to and from the doctor appointments have been overwhelming.  I can’t imagine how it feels for an independent man who has worked hard his entire life to suddenly not be able to provide for his family, or pay the bills.  Dealing with cancer and COPD is stressful enough for Dad and his wonderful wife, Vonnie, without the added worry of how to pay the bills.
