Hi everyone! Today is March 1 – IT’S MY BIRTHDAY! Here I am with my husband Mark and my rescue doggie Missy.
This birthday, I HAVE A BIG, BOLD, BODACIOUS WISH! I want to ask for your help – not just for me – but for your mothers, daughters, grand-daughters, sisters, aunts and women co-workers—all working women. Have you ever talked to working women about their experiences at work? Especially as you climb that ladder… it’s just different and harder for us. I can’t believe it’s still like this in 2020, but it is.
I founded the non-profit ShowMe50 % Women Leading because after so many years in corporate America and seeing lots of talk and little movement of the numbers, I decided to do something about it.
It’s reaaaaaaly hard to stand up and speak-up on this topic of gender equality inside your company and to push people into uncomfortable places. But if we don’t talk about it, if we don’t nudge the higher-ups along, we just won’t see meaningful change in the internal policies and practices known to level the playing field for everyone.
Not everyone can speak up, and that’s OK. But you can still help! Help me fund our educational and influencing work through a donation.
One example... we are working on a big event in Atlanta on June 30th. We’ve named it “50% When and How.” We are going to have two pioneers in breaking barriers – one woman from Louisiana and one man from Atlanta in a fireside chat.
Please give what you can and be part of the movement to make 50% Women in Leadership a reality in our lifetimes! (Did you know the #WorldEconomicForum and Melinda Gates think it’s going to take another 200 years?!?!? Ugh, #EqualityCantWait ).

March is Women’s History Month – this year’s theme is #ValiantWomenOfTheVote
March 8th is International Women’s Day – this year's theme is #EachforEqual
