For the Benefit of The Jeff Madewell Family
Donation protected
As many of you know, Jeff Madewell’s passing has left a void in many lives. Jeff was a hero to many and a friend to all.
He was a talented, respected musician and a person who touched countless lives through his love, kindness, selflessness, friendship, courage, and beautiful music. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, fishing, camping, sitting by a fire and playing guitar. Jeff had faced countless challenges since the age of 19 years old when he was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Disease. Jeff subsequently lost his eyesight and went on to battle lymphoma, thyroid cancer, skin cancer, and radiation heart requiring open-heart surgery, followed by his final battle that was insurmountable for him. Despite these many challenging obstacles, Jeff was never heard complaining, felt like the luckiest man in the world, and went on to have a full career touching many lives. He performed with many bands, the latest being Higgins – Madewell, for the past 16 years with his “soul sister” and musical Partner Erin Higgins Cress. For decades, he produced radio jingles distributed to stations across the nation. In addition to being an incredible musician, he was an excellent recording engineer.
Jeff loved helping others. In 1999, he organized Christmas for Rosebud, an annual event to the benefit of the Lakota Sioux at Rosebud Indian Reservation in South Dakota. For 20 consecutive years, a semitrailer filled with toys, food, clothing, and personal care items were delivered in time for Christmas. The financial burden of Jeff's passing and his lengthy stay at Cleveland Clinic is staggering. To honor his memory and how he has touched so many, this go-fund-me page is being started to assist his widow, Diane. If you can contribute to this fund, please do so. If you are unable to donate financially, your prayers are always appreciated during this difficult time.
