Dad (Rich Cowe) had a major heart attack on Wednesday, May 30th. It is a miracle that he is with us! God prepared extra veins in his heart that probably saved his life.
As I'm writing this he is still in ICU recovering from his stent operation. He has some fluid on his lungs and a hemotoma from a torn suture, so he still needs prayers.
Dad has given his all for his family, his church, and countless others. Now as he is recovering, it's our turn to give back to him, although this is a drop in the bucket in comparison to all he has done.
I am absolutely certain that there are going to be huge medical bills from his stay at the hospital and I want so badly to remove that stress from his mind. I believe wholeheartedly that he has impacted so many lives that if we all give a little and pass it on, we can reach this lofty goal!
Why the $52 tacked on the end? This is a number that has given my dad and I (and I'm sure my family) lots of laughs. It's an arbitrary number my dad would use in examples of comedic exaggeration, and we began to see this number occur in the silliest places. I guess it's my heart wanting to laugh with my daddy.
If you can't give financially, do not fret! Your prayers and emotional support are far more valuable than dollars. God bless you all, and thank you so much for everything!
