Medical Funds for Baby Landon Ryan

David Ryan, Territory Manager based in Chattanooga, has been a part of the Acelity family since 2013.  He and his wife, Sarah, are now helping their little princess, Landon, battle through Retinoblastoma – a rare malignant tumor of the retina.  Landon was diagnosed on December 19, 2017 and is currently being treated at the Vanderbilt Medical center in Nashville Tennessee.

Here are some words from Sarah Ryan -

Landon Lee Ryan was born on January 1, 2017 after a long journey of infertility and eventually IVF to have her, so she’s quite the miracle already!  Her bubbly personality and sweet disposition has stolen our hearts. She loves to eat and has yet to find a food she doesn’t like! She’s on the move now and we cannot slow her down. She’s a very busy little girl.

We were shocked to learn on Friday that she has bilateral retinoblastoma after a routine eye exam couldn’t be performed at Daycare. We were referred to an ophthalmologist who detected the tumors and we were rushed to Vanderbilt. Up until then her vision checked out normal with her pediatrician.

These last few days have been very trying and something we never envisioned happening to us. We were overjoyed with gratitude to learn yesterday the tumors have not left the eye (and subsequently into the brain) so she is undergoing the first round of chemo today. Her amazing team of oncologists and ophthalmologists are very hopeful that after a year of recurring treatments she will be able to save both eyes and lead a normal life. She will undergo routine scans through the age of 5 if all goes as planned and no additional tumors are detected.

Dave and I are overwhelmed with all love, support and prayers we have received for our little girl. It is what is getting us through!! Thank you!!
