Prayers for Piper

Today I am sharing the story of my friend, Samantha. Samantha is now 7 months pregnant and received news any expecting mother fears.... her precious Piper was diagnosed with Trisomy 13. Trisomy 13 is a chromosonal condition associated with severe intellectual disability and abnormalities. It occurs in about 1 in 16,000 newborns. More than 90% of children with Trisomy 13 die within their first year of life. But we are going to hold fast, because prayers are power.



Whichever path God chooses for Piper and her family, there are going to be many medical expenses that they could never have dreamed or planned for.



Sam is a generous, easy-going, lovable person. This news has devastated her and her family. She was so excited about adding a new little addition to her sweet family, especially once she found out it was a little girl. Though the odds are stacked against her, Sam fights for Piper.
