For our miracle baby Kaiden

My husband and I were expecting our first child on September 24th, we were beyond excited to welcome our baby boy Kaiden. On August 10th, I was leaving work and was involved in a car accident. I was fine but my thoughts went immediately to my baby in my belly and I was taken by ambulance to the emergency room. They decided to do an emergency c-section because the baby was showing signs of stress. Our beautiful boy was born that day at 6:27pm 7 weeks early, we heard him cry twice and then nothing, he went into shock and was lifeless for a whole 12 minutes before he started to breathe on his own. All seemed fine until two days later when he started having seizures. We were told Kaiden suffered from a brain bleed and one more major seizure he most likely would not survive. Kaiden was put in a coma to calm his seizures but he kept fighting and our sweet baby boy proved everyone wrong. During the time he was in shock his kidneys stopped working and he now has acute kidney disease and we are hoping and praying they will make a full recovery. Once Kaiden was stable enough he was transported to a different hospital where he needed brain surgery, they placed a shunt in his head. After that he was like a whole new baby. The doctors didn't know if Kaiden would ever drink from a bottle, if he would ever wake up from his coma, or even open his eyes but he has done it all and continues to do amazing things. He is truly a miracle, our miracle and we are so incredibly thankful that after 2 months in the NICU he came home with us. I feel terrible for asking for any amount of money but we are going to have a ton of medical bills and Kaiden needs to see a lot of specialty doctors. I know it's difficult right now for everyone financially because of the holidays but any little amount would help our family and would be so appreciated. I only got to spend 5 weeks at home with Kaiden and didn't get paid for part of that time so we are struggling financially right now.
