For Nancy and her children

Nearly 8 weeks after the death of her husband, Kevin, Nancy was diagnosed with Metastatic breast cancer (also called stage IV or advanced breast cancer). Nancy found herself in a state of shock and wondering how she was going to overcome this battle while providing solely as the only support for her two children. Depression took over her life.
Five months later Nancy is holding on to being independent but finds herself struggling to pay for her medications and other living expenses. Nancy was once a very active volunteer for Mother to Mother Ministry, a local agency helping to empower mothers, and says she looks forward to " kicking this in the rump and getting back to life".
