Autumn's Spelman Journey Fund

As an attendee of the prestigious Spelman College,  our motto is “A Choice to Change the World”. As a biochemistry major I plan to utilize  my degree to establish methods which will advance  nutrition as we currently know it. As an aspiring nutritionist, I want to enhance the understanding of how nutrients interact within our bodies when adhering to a 'Blood Type' specific diet. It is my intention to establish advancements in this field, while closely examining the epigenetic effects that are linked between this regiment and its effect on a person's health.


Humanity is in need of more effective ways to eat and exist, and I believe I have an opportunity to make an impact. With your help, and my knowledge and efforts people will be able to lead happier, healthier and holistic lives. 

With help from family and friends I was able to complete one successful semester at  Spelman, and I am reaching out again to complete another term this spring! During my first semester, I secured a work study job with the head of the Biology Department as a lab assistant. I also became a member of Spelman College's Chemistry Club. It was through this club that I was formally inducted into the American Chemical Society.


I have a  financial need that must be met so that I may continue to further my studies in the Spring.  Currently I have an  outstanding balance of $8,000.  Over the winter break, I was able to obtain $2K from familial support, which brings my balance to $6K. 

This payment must be met by January 16 in order to get me back on campus! I have thorouhgly enjoyed my time at Spelman and want to continue to make achievements while furthering my education. Receiving any amount of help would be greatly appreciated!
