No one is ever ready to lose a loved one. But the loss of a child to his mother is unspeakable. My friend Nancy Reyes recently lost her 22 year-old son Chad in a tragic accident in the Philippines.
Nancy and I work together as Registered Nurses in an ICU unit. For as long as I have known her, she has consistently worked multiple jobs because she was the sole provider for her 5 children. Despite working many hours, Nancy works hard at the bedside and truly advocates for her patients.
People who know Nancy know that she has been through a lot of hardships trying to provide for her family. Despite what she endures on a daily basis, you would always see a smile on her face! Losing her son feels like adding insult to injury. And although nothing can ease the pain caused by this unfortunate accident, I know that taking away some financial burden can make a big difference.
Aside from the obvious burial costs, she had to come up with money so that she can fly herself and her four other children to the Philippines immediately.
Please help my friend recover from the financial constraints this tragedy has imposed on her. Trust me when I say that ANY AMOUNT will help. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
