My Dad, Ronald Wedmore, suffered for several years with an interstitial lung disease, he was later diagnosed with lung cancer and most recently his cancer had metastasized to his spine and into his bones.
I can't tell you how devastating it was for me to watch my Dad suffer with his illnesses. Even as our parent’s age we take for granted that they will be here forever. As I stood by my Dads bedside watching him slip away from me, I felt like I was 5 years old. It doesn’t matter how old you get you always need your Dad. My Dad passed away June 14th, 2017 surrounded by his family.
His life insurance had not yet matured and there was less than $1,000 to contribute to his services. I am asking friends and family instead of sending flowers for my Dad’s service, if you would consider putting the amount you would have spent on flowers toward his funeral expenses.
All money collected will go to Evans Funeral Home, Williamsburg Cemetery and the monument company for his final expenses.
