For May Flores de la Paz Flores

May spent her entire life serving others and putting her loved ones before herself. Growing up in the Philippines and then moving to the U.S., her journey was filled with unforgettable moments and long-lasting friendships. Working as a registered nurse as well as a loving wife and mom, she was always a compassionate and caring individual. However, on December 2015, her passionate life was cut short when she was diagnosed with Stage One lung cancer. After surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation, the cancer subsided and she recovered. Then by January 2017, she found out that the cancer has metastasized to her bones, brain, spine, and liver and had jumped to Stage Four. Further treatment and medicine slowly weakened her but she kept fighting. The next year took the biggest toll on her. Her body kept weakening and could no longer take the immense amount of pain. Eventually, on a spring morning, God called her home. Her family, friends, co-workers, neighbors, and residents will never forget all the wonderful memories and service she has given them. Every heart that she has touched will always remember May as the strong, generous, and beautiful person she was.
