Our beloved Maxerin and registered service dog for Lyndsey has fallen ill and needs our help. Lyndsey and Benjamin rescued Max in June from the Humane Society. It was later revealed Max had extensive health issues (allergies, Cushings etc, he’s on a special food diet). This did not deter them one bit. Max is the light of their lives.
Lyndsey sustained a terrible fall in May 2018- injuring her brain. She is in extensive therapy to make a full recovery. Her therapy includes: vision, physiotherapy, concussion specialist, and massage. All of her therapy is paid at their expense as Lyndsey finished her internship and was only 2 months into her new full time job as a Hearing Instrument Specialist. Here comes Max- our little super hero.
He has been there for her low points, wiped away her tears, lifted her spirits, and helped her recovery immensely. Lyndsey and Max are inseparable. He is so loved (just look at her Instagram).
Ben and Lyndsey incurred a vet bill of $1200 and Max needs to be hospitalized to be stabilized to maintain Cortisol levels, GI issue, and continual IV fluids. Max had X-rays done today and a cardio echogram. Going forward he will need heart medication for his heart murmur.
We as as a family are very sad. Max makes our little family whole. Another vet bill is coming for his hospitalization. Please consider easing the financial burden to our family and help heal Max.
