For Julie Tan

Julie's husband passed away peacefully on Dec 10, 2017 in Calgary, Canada. It was an eight-month battle with cancer (in the esophagus) that accelerated in the last few weeks, as it was already Stage 4 when they found out. The tumour was close to his lung and heart, and his blood wasn't clotting, so they couldn't operate, and there was nothing significant that could be done. It was a shock to the family, as they had no clue he had advanced cancer. What could have been treated a long time ago was left undiscovered due to a family doctor's reluctance to investigate further. His condition deteriorated quickly, and in recent weeks, his organs started shutting down. Julie resigned from her job to care for her husband and children, and is now left with caring for her two young children on her own. She has decided to stay in Calgary in the meantime (I think for her kids' education), and will be looking for another job soon. Right now, there is obviously a lot she has to deal with.

Julie has been very strong in the months and weeks leading up to the moment he drew his last breath. Please pray for Julie to remain strong emotionally, psychologically and physically as she bears the load and supports her children and in-laws.
