For Jake's Sake

Donation protected
On June 15, 2017, Jake's parents took him to his peditrician because his face was swollen and his chest was extended, thinking it could be a reaction to seasonal allergies. The doctor immediately sent them to the hospital. They found out that he had a baseball sized mass in his chest causing fluid to accumlate around his heart and lungs. He also had masses in his neck that were cutting off a jugular vein. He was care-flighted to Stanford Medical Center on June 16, 2017. On June 20, 2017 he was diagnosed with T-cell Lymphoblastic Lymphoma. Jake will have to undergo 2.5 years of chemo therapy which will start June 21st.  He will not be able to attend school until January 2018 if the therapy goes well.

Jake and his family will need help financially since both parents will be taking a lot of time off of work for his care and home schooled education. It is unknown at this time how much the of out of pocket medical bills will amount to and travel expenses back and forth to Stanford.

Please consider donating to help the family through this extremely difficult time by taking off some of the financial burden so they can focus on getting their son well.   The last couple of days have been a  whirlwind for them and doctors have told them to prepare for a roller coaster ride for the next several years.  He was a happy 11 year old boy on summer vacation with no cares in the world just five days ago, now he is fighting for his life.

Whether or not you can contribute financially, please include the family in your prayers.
