For Helen ♥️

In January this year my wonderful friend Helen was diagnosed with cancer behind her left eye, a very rare form of cancer usually found in men. She began treatment, fought it valiantly and in September had her MRI results back, she was all clear!! ♥️ But sadly, only a few weeks later we found that it had actually spread, leaving legions on her spine and brain. We began treatment again but three weeks later Helen fell unconscious and it was discovered she had a blood clot on her lung. On Thursday 19th of October Helen lost her battle with cancer leaving behind her two amazing children and lots of family and friends that loved her massively. One thing that was so very important to Helen was to try and raise awareness and even more so, to raise money towards cancer research. So that leads us to this Go Fund Me page! Helen’s daughter Natasha, son Harry, sister Sue and friend Tilly are all doing the Alsagar 5 run in February which is what it says on the tin, a 5 mile run in Alsagar. We would love to raise as much money as possible for 3 charities, first one being the ward that Helen had her final days on - The Nightigale Macmillan Day Unit at Derby Royal hospital. The second - The Douglas Macmillan Hospice in Stoke-on-Trent for their brilliant care for the terminally ill. And finally for Cancer Research in the hopes that one day, we may find a cure for this awful disease.
