For Dina....double lung transplant recipient

All of us that have known Dina over the years understand how beautiful of a soul she is and how much of a fierce warrior she has become. For 14 years now, Dina Marie Jennings has suffered from a very rare lung disease called LAM. Year after year, her lung capacity has decreased, cutting off precious oxygen supply to her organs. Of course, this has been a trying time for all her friends and family; especially her husband Ed. The community has been amazing with support from fundraisers and events to raise money to pay for the costly expenses associated with the treatment of the disease, and everyone's contribution has been such a blessing for Dina and Ed. On April 6th, 2022, she was put on the transplant list, which is, of course, a scary and unimaginable situation- but Dina and Ed have held strong in their resolve to beat this. After getting the life changing call on May 2nd, 2023, she underwent double lung transplant surgery at UCSF. It has been a blessing for her to be under the care of the best doctors and nurses in the world. While Dina is healing at UCSF with Ed at her side, they must endure living in San Francisco for the next 2 1/2 to 3 months, away from their Reno, NV home and with this process comes a great deal of expense. The majority of the medical expenses will be covered by insurance, but they still must cover the expense of living in SF along with covering their bills at home. I have set up this GoFundMe page to assist them and get them home without incurring any more debt, that way Dina can take the next step into healing and enjoying the rest of her life. She has received the ultimate gift - LIFE. Many of you are amazing at this miraculous process and so am I. We just want to see this miracle succeed, as Dina is a bright and wonderful light that deserves to continue shining.
