Corey is fun, bubbly, loves life, friendly, a well mannered young boy and awesome in the midfield!
Corey has felt ill and unwell in himself lately, and very tired all the time. His mum Terri took him to the doctors this week for blood tests, Wednesday he had a bone marrow biopsy and yesterday his mum had the phone call that no one of us would ever wish to have.
Terri was told the devistating news yesterday that Corey has leukaemia cancer.
The dreaded news that no parent, family or friends want to ever hear.
Corey has played with brackla for 3 seasons now and is not only a fantastic midfielder, but he’s also versatile and well loved within the Brackla Football club community and without a shadow of a doubt his team mates.
Terry, Corey and his family only had the news yesterday and he starts treatment tomorrow Saturday 15th December.
As a family they will have to spend their Christmas and new year in hospital with Corey throughout his treatment.
So Iv set this page up so we can all help them as a family get through this financially and for Christmas and the future as work and pressures aswell as having to all go through this together with Corey may help take the pressure off them financially for a while and cover any costs incurred and lost etc.
I know Brackla Football club will help and support Corey as he’s one of our boys!
I’m hoping we can all spread this as far and wide as we can to help a wonderful boy and family with this journey that they are going to have to go through together at this time of year.
