Abseiling for families experiencing pregnancy loss

On the 18th September 2021, we will be facing our fears by abseiling 96ft down the QMC - one of the tallest UK hospitals! We will be doing this to raise money for Zephyr's Appeal - A Nottingham Hospitals Charity.
Zephyr’s centre offers loving care and support to families who have experienced the loss of a pregnancy or the death of a baby or child. The centre is based in a bespoke unit within the grounds of Nottingham City Hospital and receives over 1,000 visits per year from bereaved parents and families. It is a quiet, peaceful place where people can talk about their loss away from the clinical environment. The centre is open to hospital staff to use when meeting bereaved families, and it is also open to GPs, other health professionals, and community support groups.
Zephyr’s Appeal funds a full range of services, including: professional bereavement counselling, therapeutic writing and craft workshops and informal drop-in sessions. All donations made to Zephyr’s will go to the service.
