For Amanda Jackson & Family

Amanda's husband, Joe Jackson, suffered a brain bleed and blood clot yesterday.  He was rushed to Duke Medical Center where life saving brain surgery was performed, which repaired the ruptured vessels and removed the clot from his brain.  Joe is a loving 34 year old husband, father and friend.  

At this time his prognosis is unknown and rapidly changing.  He is still in extremely critical condition and will remain so for some time.  The length of time he will need critical medical care is also unknown and could range from weeks, to  months, to years, and possibly even his lifetime.  

As people are asking how they can help, what we know is that they first need your prayers. They also will need help in the coming days as they learn to adapt to life with Joe in the hospital. This money will go to Amanda to use as needed--for gas money, for Braxton,  for help with the home and the yard, whatever she needs as she adjusts to long days at the hospital yet tries to keep life as uninterrupted for her son as possible.  Not to mention the mountain of medical bills that will begin to pile up as the days turn into weeks and weeks into months. 

For full disclosure so that everyone knows who is responsible for getting your donations (minus the fee GFM retains) to Amanda.  Amanda's checking account information is added to this account, so we are able to deposit all of your contributions directly to her for her to use as she needs. I have shared with her everyone's well wishes and concerns and she is grateful for you all.  She is of course worried about lots of things, but namely how she will be able to do things financially during this time.  But please understand that she will be using this for her son and herself as many needs arise during this time, and it will be at her discretion.
