For Alex! Childhood Cancer Fund

Donation protected
September is Childhood Cancer Awareness month.  Over 300,000 children worldwide are diagnosed with cancer each year.  The types of cancer that develop in children are often different from the types that develop in adults. Childhood cancers are often the result of DNA changes in cells that take place very early in life, sometimes even before birth. Unlike many cancers in adults, childhood cancers are not strongly linked to lifestyle or environmental risk factors.  More research is needed for child specific cancers!

Our goal is to raise at least $10,000.   These funds will be divided between St. Baldricks Foundation (a national organization with a 72% allocation of funds to children's cancer research) and Zac's Legacy Childhood Cancer Fund which serves Northern Colorado families with direct monetary support.

This campaign is being started to honor our warrior and survivor, Alexandria.  Alex was diagnosed with adrenal corticocarcinoma at 10 months of age.  She was also diagnosed with a genetic mutation, Li-Fraumeni Syndrome, that limits her body's ability to prevent cancers.  Alex is currently a thriving 3 year old who loves princesses, My Little Pony's and her doggies and kitties.  She loves to swim in lakes and rivers, she is an avid artist and her favorite thing about school is her friends.

Let's fight for all of our little warriors!
