Band Teacher in need!

Recently, my children's middle school was hit be thieves. It was so disturbing to find out that they took some of our kids' instruments and tossed several others on to the ground. The band director's, Sean Johnson's, office, took the biggest hit of all. They took all of his personal instruments, monitors, and equipment. Totaling over $20,000. The school will be able to replace the students instruments that were taken, but are not able to replace Mr. Johnson's. These are instruments that he's purchased and maintains out of his own pockets. He uses them on a daily basis to teach and instruct our kids. He is a very active, wonderful teacher, who takes the greatest pride in his students. He is a single dad, who is also furthering his own education and puts in countless hours into his program. Our school has a very low budget for extra curriculars, and he often puts up his own money to have instruments repaired or to buy items that are needed. We are devastated for him and our kids. The police are investigating of course, but the chances of them recovering these items are very slim. He needs instruments to teach. This is so heartbreaking that they took these precious tools, some of which he's had for years. I don't know very many people who wake up and decide to teach a middle school band class.Thank goodness, he did, because he's made little musician's out of my children and they love and enjoy it everyday.
