My Brother and I are facing homelessness

Please help us afford a home! What would you do if you were out of options in life with only the past setting a precedence of heartbreak and pain? Where all you can do is survive day after day, week after week, month after month, year after year - dependent on others in order to get by? Hello everyone. My name is Shai and I urgently need your help. You see, growing up, the only love I knew was that of my mother and my brother. The two have stood by me through the ups and downs of life and have never tired of holding my hand no matter what. That my father would later abandon me at 16, an age when I needed him most due to my being on the autism spectrum hurt worse than any pain I have ever felt my entire life. Imagine being left over something you have no control over - how you were born - by none other than by your very own parent?!? But I am thankful that my strong and ever present support system of mom and my brother has been there to make everything okay. And so it happened that when I reached 18 years of age, my brother and I started living together, and have done so for the past 5 years. From this, I’m sure it is easy to note how attached I am to him? Well, he means a lot to me not just as kin but as my best friend. Being on the autism spectrum also means I am still dependent on others to support and watch me since I suffer severe panic attacks. This has made it very hard for me to work, and no work means no income on my end. I thus live off of SSI. On the other hand, my brother only pulls in enough to pay his side of the rent, and even then we have daily expenses to settle. It has been a tough ride, but one we would rather do together. However, all this is under threat: the apartment where we are currently living in is being sold and we have nowhere to go. It is our sincere hope that you will help us land on our feet instead of finding ourselves homeless which is what will happen if we do not raise some funds and fast. By raising our target of $5,000, it will be possible for us to get an apartment at the Harrison loft and furnish it. Organizing this campaign is the least I can do for my brother who has toiled so hard to support the both of us until now. Please help me make this dream a reality.
