Dear Footlights Theatre Friends-
As our summer season concludes this week, we have somehow barely survived despite a significant decrease in audiences compared to a “normal” summer of shows. We know the pandemic, the Delta Variant and being an inside venue are to blame and that’s something we cannot control. But you know me, I continue to fight the fight like I have since the pandemic started. But...
I’m going to “bottom line” this- WE NEED YOUR HELP TODAY. We need a financial jump start into our 9th (2021/22) season.
Normally our summer box office receipts get us through the “rest of the year” financially- but that did not happen this year. Every cent of the summer went back into the summer.
I have set up this gofundme campaign so that we can end the summer with zero debt and help pay for the next 4 months of incredible theater, concerts, comedy, and special events.
PLEASE… the need is immediate. I’m sure you’ve been hearing about the closings and struggles of other Arts organizations- the Footlights Theatre will not become a covid victim -and with your help, we won’t.
I want to thank YOU for supporting me and not giving up on me… And I hope you will be able to continue that support now- although we can see some sort of normalcy in the distance, we are not there yet. The struggle continues- we have come this far… help me get to the proverbial finish line. Please share this with your family, friends, and anyone else- any amount is important.

Since July 2020 we have produced over 15 shows... at one point we were the only theater in Maine to be open and only one of two theaters open in Maine for most of the pandemic. We went above and beyond state required protocal and restrictions to make your experience safe and healthy. And we continue that promise now.
