Food Trucks Fight Hunger Fund

Jay Rustenholtz (the CaringCarGuy) in partnership with CALTRAN, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation, is raising $200,000.00 to buy a new food truck for God’s Kitchen of Michigan. The mobile soup kitchen will be used to feed homeless and needy citizens living in Kalamazoo. Free dinners will be served on weeknights at various locations to fight hunger in our community.
In the wake of the coronavirus, many needy individuals and families are being quarantined and laid off to reduce or eliminate the virus. With little or no financial resources to buy food, we need to step up to feed the hungry where they live.
God’s Kitchen of Michigan is a nonprofit corporation that currently serves free dinners on Mondays and Wednesday in Kalamazoo. With your financial support, they will build and operate a fleet of food trucks (mobile soup kitchens) to travel into low-income neighborhoods where they will continue serving free dinners to the poor and needy, Monday through Friday.
