Your generous donation helps us grow and distribute CSA shares for 62 families over the course of 18 weeks. These boxes are full of fresh vegetables, fruit, eggs and mushrooms grown by local immigrant farmers and provide nourishment for working class / BIPOC communities throughout the Twin Cities.
A more just and healthy food system is our long-term vision, but your contribution helps us meet immediate needs. If we exceed our goal, we will use the additional funds to expand the program and reach more families.
Shared Ground Farmers Cooperative is owned and managed by farmers, the majority Latino, who grow food and deliver it directly to people, cutting out as much bureaucracy as possible. We envision a just food system where more farmers are empowered and have the financial security to provide for their communities with a focus on quality, accessibility, and health. We currently have a staff of two–our CSA/warehouse manager who boxes and sells food, and our delivery driver–in addition to a rotating group of dedicated volunteers. Let us make the road by walking and build a system that meets our collective needs and empowers the people!
