We are in need of immediate funding to help raise financial support for a Mexico missions trip for a local church (south Austin - Angels Healing and Recovery Church) that is partnering with a church at the border. This outreach ministers to 4 orphanages and a homeless shelter in Reynosa and to the Mayan Indians (see pic) in the mountains of northern Mexico. These villagers have little hope and are in great need of food for their families (see actual pics below). Angels Healing and Recovery Church goes on this mission trip 4 times a year and has been doing this for over 10 years.
The mission team will go in mid April and there is an immediate need to purchase 4 tons of rice and beans to help the most needy people there. For some, these rice and beans are all they have to eat. Can you make a donation today? All donations are 100% tax deductible (you will get a receipt from PayPal).
Angels Healing and Recovery church is a small congregation of about 30 people, mostly homeless and a few others who come to serve and help and grow together. This church also has a ministry in downtown Austin every Saturday called The Bridge of Angels. It is is a phenomenal local ministry with a heart for loving the unloved. They are dedicated to…
· Feeding the hungry
· Healing the hurting
· Serving the homeless
· Loving the unloved
Together, we can make a difference in the lives of those who are in physical and spiritual distress. Our hope is to show you the need and give you a reason to respond with arms of love. Your generous donation of any amount, large or small, allows them to reach out to people in need by providing them with…
· Nourishing food
· Warm Clothing
· Biblical instruction & counseling
· Help to get off the streets, into jobs and into productive, fulfilling lives
Many of the people they serve feel they’ve come to the end of the line. That’s why they never turn anyone away. But they cannot carry out this work of compassion alone. They need your help!
“For I was hungry, and you fed me. I was thirsty, and you gave me a drink. I was a stranger, and you invited me into your home. I was naked, and you gave me clothing. I was sick, and you cared for me. I was in prison, and you visited me.” Matthew 25:35-36
