Let us be the good work you do in the world.

It take $3k/month to fund Eretore Pre and Primary School, therefore our goal is set for $36k. We provide nutritious  food, safe water, and an education that strengthens the Maasai community by respecting Maasai culture, delivering quality instruction, advocating for the rights and protection of Maasai girls from FGM (female genital mutilation) along with being a safe haven for girls who are being forced into early marriage.  We also run “Project Girl”, which provide girls with reusable sanitary kits to put an end to period poverty; this helps girls stay in school.

The Spanish founding sponsors ceased funding for water, food, and supplies in June 2020 and stopped  paying teacher salary in September 2020. When I met the school, students were attending anyway, even  without food and water. Teachers were teaching anyway, without salary.

I feel in love with Eretore. I created a 501c3, SISAL Foundation which Supports Indigenous Students Abroad and Locally. Our website is https://www.sisalfoundation.org/  There you may see these beautiful children, their dedicated teachers, our founder and director (a Maasai himself), as well as our sponsorship page where you may change the trajectory of a child's life for $38/month.

With indigenous cultures under attack regarding their land, their rights, and their way of life,  you can be part of the change and protection. Their best hope is education which doesn't attempt to "Westernize" their life or discredit their culture, along with education that leads to advocacy and equality. This is what your donation will provide.

Thank you for reading and I humbly ask for your support.  If you should ever find yourself in Tanzania, the school and teachers welcome your visit with open arms. It will be a life-changing experience, I promise you.

I hope to create a partnership with an established organization, as I am just a school teacher on the other side of the world with a lot of generous friends who have stepped up to make a difference .  I visit the school twice a year, I know the teachers, and I am in frequent communication with them. We are careful and transparent with donor money. Every penny is accounted for and goes directly to the students. When I visit, I provide my own transportation and cover every cost myself. My time is donated 100% as well.

FYI: There is a payment processing fee of 2.9% plus $0.30 per donation that goes directly to GoFundMe. Payment processing fees are unavoidable on any crowdfunding platform because all online payments need to be verified and securely transferred. Please do not feel pressured to "leave a tip". I won't know if you did or not, and I cannot remove that statement. Finally, please like and follow us on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn @eretorerising. We are in need of followers and I'd like to raise awareness of the good work we are doing.. Please share with your friends!                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                   Updated 9-18-21
