Help buy food vouchers for families in need

HELP PROVIDE FAMILIES IN NEED WITH FOOD VOUCHERS TO ENSURE THEIR CHILDREN DON'T GO HUNGRY.
There are currently more than 2.5 million children living in food insecure households in the UK. The Trussell Trust reported 2,600 food parcels were provided a day to children since the start of the pandemic. This corresponds to a child needing support from a food bank every 34 seconds between April and September 2020.
With the situation getting increasingly worse due to the pandemic and the economic impact it has had on many low income families, many more are depending on free school meals to feed their children during this period.
Unfortunately, as recently revealed, the food parcel families are being provided as a replacement to food vouchers are inadequate in both quantity and quality. Many children who suffer from allergies, disabilities and have certain dislikes are also ignored and left hungry causing physical and mental health issues to not only them but the parents as well.
After speaking to parents who received some of these dire food parcels, many highlighted that with the food vouchers the children were able to be involved in the shop and see it is an activity. It was a highlight of the week for many!
For this reason, I have started this fundraiser to buy food vouchers for families in need.
Any donation, no matter how big or small can and will make a HUGE difference! It will provide more than just food, a human necessity that in the second richest country in the world should be expected, but also a sense of security and comfort in a time where our whole world is in crisis.
