Hello! We are Robin, Keianna and Rhea, the owners of Delicious Mobile Gourmet. We started our partnership to fulfilling our dream of owning a food truck in 2018. In the process of gathering ideas to raise the funds, we decided to create our Signature Spice Mixes, where all profits are saved for our food truck. We've had people in our community ask how they can help us to be successful in getting our truck, in addition to buying our Signature Spice Mixes, so this campaign was started.
Our chef Robin, started cooking with her mother and grandmother at the age of 5. She would climb up on a stool, watch and learn the basics of cooking and making others feel good with great meals. Most of the meals that she learned to cook were mainly comfort and soul food dishes. As she grew older, so did her love for cooking. She then expanded her skills by studying dishes from other cultures. Most recently, she has learned to prepare vegan and gluten free meals, to accommodate those in her family who have restricted dietary needs. She believes that food can bring joy, no matter what the ingredients are!
The concept for our truck is a quarterly rotating menu, that includes dishes, inspired by cuisines from all over the world. We have developed several items that will also cater to various dietary needs and interests, such as Vegan, Gluten Free and Low Carb choices. We are also dedicated to partnering with local vendors to keep business as close to home as possible.
We are raising funds to cover the costs of a down payment for the food truck and supplies needed to run the daily operations (cooking utensils, food containers, etc).
This opportunity will mean so much more than selling meals. We will be able to participate in helping to feed our community, when in they are in need. We are also developing a program to teach children culinary and entrepreneurial skills. Your contributions will support many more people than just us as business owners. We want to pay it forward and educate others who are seeking the same opportunities.
