Food for a community of daily wagers in India

In the present COVID-19 crisis,  the daily wage earners/migrants community across India are the one most severely affected during the ongoing lockdown period as they currently have no earnings to feed their families and themselves.
We aim to distribute cooked meals as well as basic food supplies to one such local community of daily wages who do not have any resources to any food supplies from the government or any other channels. I am trying to raise funds to empower my Edinburgh based friend, Furquan, who is currently in India due to lockdown measures. On the positive side, in lieu of the current circumstance he is doing a very generous hard work of providing basic food supplies for a community of poor migrant/daily wage workers in his local area in the city of Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India. Up until now, he and his team have already distributed almost 1200 cooked lunch packs and 200 food bags in last few days, and further 250 food bags are being prepared with all expenditure coming from his personal savings. To be able to continue support these daily wage workers for few more days (perhaps weeks), we definitely need your little contribution so that he and his team can continue to provide these food supplies to as many as possible in need in the lockdown.
We aim to purchase the basic food items from the funds raised through this platform. In our rough estimates, “one food bag/packet” would cost circa 700 ₹ (i.e. £7.5) and contains the following items:
Wheat flour (Atta)        – 4kg   (100₹)
Rice                                       – 4kg   (100₹)
Lentils (Daal)                   – 1.5kg (150₹)
Vegetable Oil                  – 2ltr (210₹)
Salt                                        – 1 kg (30₹)
Sugar                                     – 2.5 kg (90₹)
Basic Spices Powder    – 1pkt (20₹)
Remember one food packet can help sustain one individual for circa 2 weeks, and by that time things may begin to improve. So, please donate as per your convenience, because every little help does matter.
