Food Bank for Refugees in Budapest, Hungary

This GoFundMe supports a Food Bank in Budapest, Hungary for refugees of the Ukraine/Russia war.
As the Ukraine/Russia war continues, many Ukrainian families have chosen to stay in Budapest until it is safe to return home.
Some refugees who have managed to secure adequate shelter in Budapest are extremely short on funds and do not have money for food.

We have started a small food bank to provide food for these refugees.

Our goal is to provide weekly food packets that will support 20 - four person families, or 80 people total.

As of 11 April 2022, we are providing food for over 40 refugees, most are women and children.

It costs approximately HUF 22,000 per week to feed a family of four. ($65 USD, or 60 Euro).

Our promise to you…

- All recipients will be verified prior to acceptance into the program.
- All funds received from this GoFundMe will go to the purchase of food!
- There is no financial overhead, all work to support this endeavor, from concept development to food distribution, is done by volunteers at no cost.
