Please help save Folsom's leg!
Late Monday night (June 20th), our baby Folsom fell in the subway station and hit his leg hard. Animal control came and he was taken to doggie ER for x-rays and pain patch.
The next morning we brought him back to see the doctor and review the x-rays.
What we hoped would be fixed with a simple casting ended up being a salter-Harris type II fracture of the distal femur: in other words, a really bad break and his knee-cap was basically hanging off his leg. He was in a lot of pain even with meds and understandably couldn't put any weight on his leg without yelping out in pain.
After meeting with orthopedic surgeon and getting a second opinion from a friends trusted vet (thanks Carlton), surgery is the only option. Casting is nearly impossible with this type of break in this location and would no doubt end up with a lifetime of pain resulting in amputation.
Good news... board certified specialist Dr. Farese had an opening for surgery today!
Bad news... its going to cost $4300
His daddy Leo Forte, roommate Jonny "Jackson Fillmore" and mommy mr. Pam are humbly reaching out to our community and porn fans to help us come up with the funds so we can pay this large vet bill and get Folsom 'up & running' again.
Folsom aka "Pooper" is only 10 months old and has a long & fabulous chihuahua life ahead of him.
Pooper constantly makes us all laugh with his lightening fast speed, funny expressions and endless kisses. We love our lil guy soooooo much!!!!!!
We are all so sad right now that he's going through this traumatic experience.
Yet we are optimistic that we made the right decision, hired the best specialist in the San Francisco bay area and Pooper is well taken care of.
So if you have a little extra cash to spare to help us pay $4300 surgery bill, we thank you with all our hearts and all the Folsom licks in the world!
