Folk U Productions - Mobile Studio

Folk U Productions was started with the Intention of creating a mobile home recording studio that would travel the U.S., providing studio and live jam session recordings for DIY artists, while nurturing the Creative spirit through countless other forms of Art. Over the course of the next year or two, we will be wandering the country making music and recordings, and encouraging others to output their Art and express it to its full potential.

Once a mobile party vehicle in the early '90s, this big sexy bus we call “The Dragon” will be converted into a killer mobile home/recording studio. So far, we've gutted out all the seats and emptied it completely. Then we scrubbed down the existing floor, windows and upholstery, and made it clean and comfy enough to move into and start creating a sense of Home. Here's what it looks like right now. Over the next month or so here's what we wanna do:

put in new flooring
horizontal murphy bed
screening for the windows
simple table build to protect the tire wells
gear cabinet with pad locks
kitchenette area with simple gray water system
temp control

The bus itself has had quite a bit of work done to it, to ensure that it can withstand life on the road. However, The Dragon could use a few more things to ensure everyone's prolonged comfort and safety:

2 new tires
front tie rod ends and alignment
rear suspension axle (convert from air to spring)
4 scissor jacks...for when the rockitude is vigorous

After all said and done and we're ready to rock, we'll get just a few gear items to complete what we already have. We'll need:

2 condenser mics
2 mic stands
4 xlr mic cables
a 6-8 channel interface

We're taking monetary contributions toward our Folk U dream, as well as physical donations of items on our list.

Thank you to Madison and all of our friends for supporting us on our Journey. The Love and Gratitude we have for you is abundant. We're taking you with us, and will spread the good word of Madison music and how beautiful it is here.
